This amazing light show has been going on for 11 years now, first starting back in 2006 and with each year, the show was more elaborate and better during the holiday season. The development of this amazing light show begins the 1st of October where two sets of crews work every day for eight weeks. The light show is then open to the public beginning November 20th and ending January 7th. This year over 1.2 million lights are in place for your enjoyment. During this light show and its amazing lights, you can see a giant snowman, nutcrackers, a Santa train, carolers, and ice skaters. This year is the first year an entire block on downtown’s Main Street has been added, making this the largest light show hosted this far. The Rochester Big Bright Light Show can be enjoyed by foot or by car. Wayne County Lightfest Fireworks
