CDC Guidelines for Preventing Spread of COVID-19 to Limo Passengers in Ferndale, MI; Disinfecting Limousines & More

The safety of its passengers is the number one priority of reputable transportation. We need all drivers to take preventative action to protect the passengers’ health during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic to achieve this. All of our drivers and employees follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) as we take the prevention of infectious diseases seriously. To protect themselves and their passengers, many people in transportation have essential jobs and must learn. Today, we at A Limo World would like to elaborate on what we are doing to keep your limo riding experience safe.

Guidelines for Prevention of Infectious Diseases

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic that is affecting the entire globe, it is more important now more than ever to prevent the spread of disease. People still need to rent our vehicles to get around and do their business as necessary, even with the rise in confirmed cases. With an obligation to safety and service we limit risk whenever possible. Below is what our drivers are implemented to do our part to fight microbes.
1) Hand Washing. The only ones who need to wear masks or other special equipment are medical personnel and people with confirmed or suspected COVID-19. Before eating, before and after touching the face, and after touching a surface that may be infected, all you have to do is wash your hands after going to the bathroom. With soap and water, proper handwashing technique requires at least twenty seconds. Make sure to wash between the fingers, the nails, and the wrist, too. Using alcohol-based sanitizer needs to be at least 60% alcohol per volume.
2) Cough Etiquette / Respiratory Hygiene. Droplets containing the virus are launched through the air when we cough and sneeze. They will land on other people or surfaces they touch, which is a common way infectious disease are spread. When you cough, sneeze or blow your nose, the respiratory hygiene or cough etiquette is the principle of reducing the risk of infection. In either a disposable tissue or into your upper sleeve, cough and sneeze into them.
3) Social Distancing. Referring to the methods of infection control by reducing physical contact between people is social distancing. One of the most surefire methods to not get sick is simply not being too close to an infected person.
4) Disinfecting Surfaces & Objects. For days, the virus can survive on the surfaces. By touching a contaminated surface and then touching their face, someone can infect themselves. There are many disinfecting products available in cleaners and wipes. Our drivers use disinfectants to ensure the entire limo is properly disinfected. Special attention on the door handles, cup holders, and seat belts as well as disinfecting the steering wheel and the dashboard/interface after each use.
